The SNAP-Ed Evaluation Framework: Nationwide Uptake and Implications for Nutrition Education Practice, Policy, and Research

ObjectiveProvide the first baseline census of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) state implementing agencies’ (SIAs) intent to use and evaluate 51 indicators described in SNAP-Ed Evaluation Framework.MethodsA cross-sectional study design was used administer electronic surveys 124 SIAs who received funding 2017. Descriptive statistics were analyze results.ResultsOf indicators, reported their impact an average 19 12. More intention at individual (59%) environmental levels (48%), compared with sectors influence (20%) population (30%) framework. In addition, more intended short- or medium-term long-term indicators.Conclusions ImplicationsThese findings illustrate progress made toward aggregating metrics measure collective SNAP-Ed.
